Housing is not only a significant component of the economy of the Tri-County area of Otero, Bent and Crowley; it is pivotal to the area's long-term competitiveness. Tri-County Housing and Community Development Corporation will continue to serve as a willing partner with the areas various towns and agencies and continue our commitment of providing professional expertise in various housing programs, grant writing, housing management services, and community projects to all of our past and future partners. Our mission will continue to ensure an adequate supply of housing is available and affordable for all residents of Tri-County and continue to pursue worthwhile community projects that enhance the historical and tourism interest of the area.
Look for us to expand our new homeownership construction into the Avondale area, under partnerships with USDA Rural Development. We hope to provide housing construction for interested residents that commute to/from the Tri-County area.
NeighborWorks organizations increase awareness of issues such as affordable housing, predatory lending and minority homeownership gap. The NeighborWorks network’s has grown steadily since its founding in 1978 with a presence in more than 4,414 urban, suburban and rural areas, In 2008, the NeighborWorks network is projected to generate more than $3.2 billion in total direct investment and help more than 216,000 low to moderate income families purchase, improve and maintain their homes.
